WORLD HEADQUARTERS ESTABLISHED
In 2020 we moved to our new world headquarters in the heart of Eastern Iowa. Our prime location does something we’ve always wanted to do – make solar panels accessible and understandable for everyone. We want to make a difference in your lives by providing economical solutions for energy conservation and utilization of naturally occurring resources in a cost effective way so as to preserve the delicate balance in our surroundings. The climate challenge is a clear indication that something is wrong. We must cut across national boundaries and work jointly to protect and preserve our natural resources. SHOWCASE GROUND MOUNT INSTALLATION
In 2019 we complete our showcase ground-mounted installation on Dubuque Street, which marks one of the very few ground solar installations in the area. In fact, ground installations are the rarest of all solar installations, and we now specialize in it. Most companies won’t offer ground-based installations, but our know-how and talent give us the ability to offer services that can’t be matched by other companies.
MORE HOME INSTALLATIONS
Solar panels prices have dropped drastically, and installing solar power is now the clear economic winner for residential energy customers. We’ve now brought solar panels to even more homes and residences. Most of these are commercial rental properties owned by the partners behind Iowa Solar. All these installations harness energy from the sun to produce electricity rather than relying on expensive and dirty coal power.
SOLAR EXPLORATION
In 2010, the cost of solar panels are still too expensive to put on homes and residences at an affordable rate. Our scientists, computer engineers, and lead technicians are working in separate businesses but getting the technical, sales, and other skills necessary to create the world’s best solar panel installation company.
SOLAR AND WINDOW SALES
One of our core founders spends the late 1990s through 2000s in technical sales for solar powered technologies as part of a window and solar installation company. This founder will go on to create Iowa Solar and bring a wealth of experience providing satisfaction-guaranteed solar energy installations.
